Copenhagen Airport

The building

Since 1960, when HØRNING installed the first solid wooden floors at Copenhagen Airport, several extensions and renovations have been made, of which HØRNING has been a part, which has resulted in a total of 25.000 m² of HØRNING floors being laid at Kastrup Airport. Most recently in 2018, when the 100-meter long “bridge”, made of HØRNING parquet, in the new terminal 3 was completed.

Choice of floor solution

Every day approx. 83.000 passengers on the wooden floors of the international airport, which is why it is crucial for longevity and durability that the floors are of high quality and thorough craftsmanship. This is also the reason why the choice fell on HØRNING floors, for which the choice has only been confirmed as the beautiful jatoba floors are still in excellent condition after 60 years of use.
