The building

Malmö Live is a venue for music, culture and entertainment in Malmø. The complex is a clear, easily legible composition of cubic built structures. Inside the building has three principal components – the large concert hall, the flexible multi-purpose hall and the congress hall: clearly defined elements, whose mutually interdependent composition sets the perfect note and emphasises the building’s innate musicality.

Choice of floor solution

A modern cultural institution places huge demands on flooring. It needs to look great, and every year has to bear the feet of hundreds of thousands of guests as they move around through the building’s various features. The architect and Hørning Parket opted for oak Solid Line with natural oil. The flooring’s vibrant, light architectural expression is a perfect match for the open walking areas, the stairs and the concert hall. Add to this its long service life, quick installation and its hugely positive addition to the indoor climate, we can totally understand why Malmö Live agreed to Hørning Parket Solid Line. Though we say it ourselves, it was the natural choice.
